On Abortion

All Life Has the Potential to Become Divine

Over the years it has become clear to me how different my point of view is from that of others who have spoken out in defense of life. Most people defend life from the perspective that it is human life that has the right to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.” In contrast, I have taken my inspiration from Mother Mary.

One day as I was meditating on Mother Mary, I saw her address the Darjeeling Council. I saw her stand before individuals from the national and international pro-life and pro-choice groups who had come to the retreat and, looking like a woman of our time, an attorney in defense of life, deliver a statement that was resoundingly clear and to the point: “We do not defend life on the basis that it is human life, but that it is human life with a potential to be divine life.”

This is the teaching that has the strength and the power to convince the women of today to turn from espousing death to espousing life.

Does a Belief in Reincarnation Condone Abortion?

I will take up now some questions that have arisen in relation to abortion and reincarnation. People have asked me why, if I believe in reincarnation, am I against abortion? They ask this question because some who believe in reincarnation say that abortion must not be wrong because the aborted soul can always come back in another body.

Those who belong to the great faiths that teach reincarnation, such as Hindus, Buddhists and Sikhs, believe that abortion is murder. Also every sect of Hinduism holds that the soul enters the fetus at the moment of conception. However, in practical life, many adherents of these faiths today also believe that abortion is permissible.

In an article in the Washington Post, Mark Weston explains: “Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists believe in rebirth, so most also believe that an abortion, however regrettable, will not deprive a soul of its one and only chance at life.” <1> Therefore it becomes a question of whether a woman’s freedom of choice should take precedence over the baby’s right to life, because the baby will always have another chance.

I’ve also heard people say that a soul may choose to experience life in the womb for a few months and then return to higher octaves after being ejected from that womb through an abortion. This point of view says that abortion doesn’t harm the soul but gives her an opportunity to return in another body under more ideal circumstances, such as being wanted instead of unwanted.

(As a footnote, I would like to tell you that the soul of man or woman is referred to as the feminine potential of being, whereas the spirit, which is the essence and animating principle of a person, is considered to be masculine. Therefore when mentioning the soul we use the pronouns she and her. When speaking of the spirit we use the pronouns he and him.)

What About the Law of Karma?

Here are the Ascended Masters’ answers to these state-menace. The idea that a baby will always have another chance and that a soul chooses her experiences denies the law of karma. We certainly have been given free will by Almighty God but, you see, we have been exercising that free will for many lifetimes.

We have created the karmic circumstances that dictate our return in a specific body at a specific time and place and through specific parents. Thus we can’t just choose to enter life when and where we feel like it. Furthermore, the argument is ludicrous on the face of it. If souls could choose their bodies, wouldn’t most people choose to be brilliant, beautiful and wealthy? Therefore why isn’t everybody brilliant, beautiful and wealthy?

Some New Agers say that abortion does not kill the fetus since the true nature of every individual is a light essence that has no form and cannot be destroyed. If that were so, we would be obliged to condone murder because a person is energy and energy can’t be destroyed.

We can’t just take Newton’s Law that says that energy is neither created nor destroyed and apply it to a fetus in the womb. The energy of the fetus has been locked into form by the Lords of Form, the Lords of Mind and the Lords of Creation. And that form is more than energy coalesced; it is child-man made in the image and likeness of God.

The New Age argument goes on to say that the light essence has the opportunity to experience life on this plane by acquiring a body. It is true that souls have the opportunity to experience physical incarnation but it is not for experience alone. It is for the purposes of balancing karma, serving to set life free and fulfilling one’s divine plan.

Is God Without Judgment?

The next New Age argument runs as follows: Abortion is neither right nor wrong, for God does not judge; therefore doing away with the developing body within the womb simply removes one potential body. We are wholly responsible for our choices but a woman need not feel guilty for choosing not to give birth if she decides that it is in her best interest not to accept the responsibility of being a parent.

First of all, right and wrong lives in the heart of the living Christ in us all, in The Lord Our Righteousness and in the Cosmic Christ. In life, some things are right and some things are wrong, and abortion is one of those things that is absolutely wrong.

God as the supreme Lawgiver divides light and darkness, heaven and earth, right and wrong. He has set forth laws and has given these laws to us through the great avatars, prophets, Christed ones and Buddhas whom he has sent into our midst. These laws are the very foundation of our Judeo-Christian tradition and they are also the foundation of the traditions in the East that have existed for thousands of years.

It is not true that abortion does not destroy the incoming life, for life exists in the body as well as in the soul. The point of view that suggests that a woman need never feel guilty for choosing not to give birth has, I am certain, neutralized the conscience of many a woman. Many under this advice may have considered themselves free to have an abortion, for this argument does not place accountability on the process of bringing forth life or being a co-creator with God.

It is true that the real nature of every individual is a light essence, but it is not true that that light essence has no form and needs no form. The light essence is the soul and the soul can be destroyed. As it is written in scripture, “the soul that sinneth it shall die.” <2>

The soul has the potential to realize in form and formlessness the fullness of the Spirit of the living God. And that potential is dependent upon decision-making every step of the way. Choices must be made between right and wrong, and the soul can choose wrongly one too many times and become lost and become a castaway.

Therefore, those who abort life place their own souls in jeopardy as well as the incoming souls whom they abort.

Every Fetus Has the Potential to Be God

Now we come to another argument that people put forward to defend abortion. Many Americans today believe that the soul is not in the body during gestation. One New Age authority on the subject teaches that the newborn child has a period of up to a year after birth to decide whether or not to commingle itself with matter.

Consequently, those who hear this conclude erroneously that there is nothing wrong with abortion, for the fetus is not a human yet. It’s just a potential human. Take, for example, Dr. Jane Hodgson, an obstetrician who has supervised and/or participated in 30,000 abortions in the last twenty years. Here is her perspective on her role as an abortionist:

“I think I have done a humane service for lots of women in this world,” says Dr. Hodgson. “I don’t look upon it as killing, because I do not consider in the first place that the embryo or the fetus is a person. It is a potential person.” <3> Therefore she is content to kill potential persons because they have not yet earned the status of personhood.

This is the fundamental lie of the pro-choice movement today. We are not just removing a “potential” body when an abortion takes place, we are aborting a life and a destiny that is set by Almighty God. A soul cannot simply hop into another body anytime she pleases.

The question is, do you or I have the right to snuff out life, burgeoning life, that has not only the potential to be God but is already God from the moment of conception? Does the child in the womb have any less potential to be God than you or I do? Each of us has the unlimited possibility to realize the seed of God, the seed of Life itself.

Yes, we have had the seed of our immortality even prior to conception; we have always had that seed, for immortality is our goal and the reason God sent us into incarnation. We don’t say to one another, “Well, I can kill you, or you, or you because you’re not a God yet; you’re just a potential God.”

At what stage of physical-spiritual evolution do we draw the line? Can we ever say that anyone is subject to termination because he has not realized his full human or divine potential? Do we have to be a full-blown Buddha or a full-blown Christ to be guaranteed our constitutional right to life?

What Did Edgar Cayce Believe?

Some people believe that Edgar Cayce condoned abortion because he said that the soul did not necessarily enter the body at conception.

During a reading, when asked if the soul entered the child at conception or birth or in between, he replied: “It may at the first moment of breath; it may some hours before birth; it may many hours after birth. That depends upon that condition, that environ surrounding the circumstance.”

This does not mean Cayce thought it unnecessary to care for the body before the soul entered it permanently. For in the very same reading, Cayce answered a question on whether one’s thoughts and impressions during pregnancy had an effect on the child. “To be sure,” he said. “Thus, if surrounded with beauty, the more beauty there may be.” <4> Taken in the context of all Cayce’s teachings on karma, these statements on the soul cannot be seen as condoning abortion.

Abortion Is Not a Method of Birth Control

Many people support a woman’s “right” to have an abortion based on the principle that a woman has free will and the right to control her own body. They may uphold this right even though they wouldn’t choose abortion themselves. They say a woman should be able to choose whether or not to have a child.

We all agree. But we also must state that she should make her choice before conception, not after. We have access to many methods of birth control. Abortion is not one of them.

The Soul Exists before Conception

Let’s return to the question of when the soul enters the body. Most orthodox Christians believe that a brand-new soul is created for each new embryo. The 1994 Catechism of the Catholic Church states: “The Church teaches that every spiritual soul is created immediately by God.” <5> Catholic theologian John A. Hardon adds that it is “assumed that creation of the soul and its infusion [into the body] take place at the moment of conception.” <6>

Both the New Age and the Christian view of the soul are wanting. The soul exists before conception. It exists in the beginning with God. Twin souls come forth out of the great white-fire ovoid as we are created by Elohim. And, having cycled through the bands of the Causal Body, the souls descend into material form to fulfill their reason for being, and they must complete many life cycles in embodiment before they may return to their point of origin.

Long ago God spoke to the prophet Jeremiah and he said: “Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee.” <7> God had predestined the soul of Jeremiah just as he has predestined your soul and the soul of your twin flame to go forth to fulfill a mission of light, splendor, usefulness and creativity in this earth and throughout the spheres of the heavens.

We understand the soul to be a continuum existing in the beginning with God. By exercising right choices and increasing in the manifestation of Light and Christhood, these twin souls will one day return home from their journey to bow before the presence of Alpha and Omega and receive the divine approbation “This is my beloved Son [and my beloved Daughter] in whom I am well pleased.” <8>

Your Body Is the Temple of the Living God

As I have said, the modern reincarnationists’ view that it is okay to abort the body because it is only a body denies that the body is the temple of the living God. The apostle Paul said it clearly: “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God?”

He also said: “Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s. “ <9>

The point Paul makes that we must underscore here is “ye are not your own.” It is true that we are not our own, for we are God’s, and our souls are “bought with a price” by the living Saviour Jesus Christ. This means that our bodies are not our own and nor are our souls.

God has ordained us to bring forth souls made in his image and likeness; therefore the freedom to choose not to bring forth the soul that is conceived and already attached to the womb from the moment of conception does not belong to us. It cannot because we are not gods, we are sons and daughters of God and we are obedient to his law.

He has ordained us to be co-creators with him, not above him. We cannot play God with the soul aborning in our womb.

The Soul and the Body Are Becoming One

Modern reincarnationists seem to think that the soul is like a candle on a birthday cake—you just stick it on at the last minute—but this is not the case. The soul and the body are meshed during gestation. God doesn’t simply stuff a soul into a body like you stuff a pillow into a pillowcase.

The prevailing idea is that the soul and the body are separate. This does not happen to be so, and it is spoken so easily and lightly by those who truly do not understand the great mysteries of God. The soul and the body are in the process of becoming one.

As the child grows in grace and waxes “strong in spirit,” the Christ descends into that temple increment by increment, year by year. This integration of the soul with the body and of the soul with her Lord, the Holy Christ Self, takes place from the moment of conception up to and throughout adulthood.

Each one of us has a soul consciousness, a solar awareness. Our soul is like the sun that we see in the heavens; her awareness is spherical, and it is a continuing awareness from the hour of our going out from the Great Central Sun unto our return. Our solar awareness is integral to our arms, our fingers, our eyes, our nose, our every organ and our four lower bodies.

We also have a memory body, a mental body and a desire body as well as a physical body. We suffer not only the anguish of physical pain but also the anguish of emotional pain. Our physical organs can become ill because of the pain of the soul. What’s more, during gestation the spirit along with the etheric, mental and emotional bodies is being brought back from all previous lifetimes to mesh with the body.

We have an etheric body that we have carried with us since the beginning. We have a mental body that consists of our mind and the accumulations of our reasonings in the Mind of God as well as in the lower octaves, and we have a desire body that contains the records of all the desires we have ever had, including those that have been fulfilled.

We are a fully integrated entity, a being of God. All we need when the time comes to return to earth is a new physical body, and while that physical body is being formed, the three other bodies are meshing with it.

The Embryo Contains the Seed of the Living God

The Spirit of the living God is also a part of every son and daughter of God and is directly tied to that child from the moment of conception when it is yet an embryo, for embryonic life contains the seed of the living God. When we speak of the Spirit of the living God, it is the I AM THAT I AM, the Father-Mother God—the God-essence or the God-life of us all.

The spirit of our lifestream is our animating principle, our energy, what kind of person we are. Our spirit is the overriding vibration reflected in our character. Thus we say of someone that their spirit is laconic or feisty or that the individual has an evil spirit or an honest spirit, and so forth. The spirit, then, of the individual is distinguished from the soul, the former being masculine, the latter, feminine.

The spirit is also infused into the physical body as the very blood cells are forming. The spirit, or essence, is always in the blood of the individual as well as in the entire body itself.

Our Etheric, Mental and Desire Bodies

The etheric body contains the record of our divine plan and of our original image in God. It contains the memories and records of all that we have ever done in previous lifetimes. We know that our memory in this life defines our identity. Remove all memories of everything we have ever done and none of us would know who we are or were.

Our memory contains all the experiences we have ever had since we first came forth from the heart of God, and that memory is with the soul as she integrates with the physical body in this nine-month period. Likewise the mental body is the accumulation of the cognitive and reasoning mind—the rational thinking self. All that we have ever thought and reasoned we bring with us in our mental body. It is there from the moment of conception.

Through the entire process of gestation, this mind is meshing with the new physical body. It is part of the identity that already is and the identity that is being formed, for the child’s psychology is molded while he is in the womb by his parents’ psychology in combination with the psychology that he brings with him from past lifetimes.

The Mind of Christ Chooses Our Genetic Code

What we need to understand is the selective process by Almighty God, by the Mind of Christ, of the genetic code that will be ours for this lifetime. Through that genetic code and those genes, we are expressing a portion of our Causal Body—the vast memory, mental and desire bank that we bring with us.

A slice of our life will become prominent in this incarnation; for our life is infinite, but this finite time-and-space world and this finite body cannot contain the totality of our being. Thus, for the purposes of our divine plan and our karma in this life, we can access a certain portion of our Causal Body to accomplish the things we are assigned to do.

Just as we bring our memory and our mind with us, we bring our desires and our desire body. We have desires that were fulfilled and desires left unfulfilled from previous lifetimes. We will have to deal with these; we will have to sort them out. Because of the limits of our mortality—three score years and ten—we will have to decide which desires we will fulfill in this lifetime.

This we will learn to do under the guidance of teachers, parents and our own communion with our inner God. So we have to look at our unfulfilled goals, and we have to see, for instance, if something that we wanted to accomplish was suddenly cut off in the very prime of life, perhaps by our untimely death or a violent crime. We may desire to pick up the pieces as soon as possible to be reunited with loved ones, to fulfill what we began.

As the unborn child is developing and continues to develop after birth, as the desire body is integrating with the new physical body and with a new opportunity, the focus of our life’s goal begins to sharpen and to take form. When we’re little, we want to become a doctor or a nurse or a fireman or an Indian chief or a policeman, and as we grow a little older, we refine those goals in terms of priorities, economic necessities, family responsibilities and so forth.

Even before conception, when we are preparing to take embodiment and are being instructed in the retreats of the Ascended Masters, we are in training for that mission so that we can gain many victories and perhaps conclude our incarnations on earth.

As a side note, I would like to say that this teaching does not conflict with the teaching about the soul leaving the body at night to study in the etheric retreats. When the soul goes forth from the body at night, it actually leaves a portion of itself behind with the body.

That is why when you are suddenly awakened, often you are not fully in your body but you can still respond to an emergency or take care of child that is crying. At the same time, you may be continuing your experience in the inner retreats as only a portion of yourself is fully integrated with the body.

Life Begins at Conception in the Heart of the Great Central Sun

Let’s take a look at the question of abortion from a purely humanistic standpoint. If you take the view that man doesn’t have a divine spark—he’s of the race of Homo sapiens, one among other species—surely we would have to consider that if we were to eliminate any segment of humanity or a single human being, we would be eliminating a link in the genetic chain.

This chain could ultimately bring forth a Beethoven, a Dostoevsky, an Einstein, an Abraham Lincoln, a Jesus Christ—the geniuses that have enabled the human race to leap forward scientifically, culturally and spiritually. And what about the common everyday people? They are the carriers of the genes of genius that shall one day appear.

But we believe that we are more than human. We believe that we have a divine spark given to us by our Father-Mother God. We believe that we are sons and daughters of Elohim. Mother Mary settled the question with her statement of October 26, 1990. She said:

No matter what the argument, no matter what the evidence, life begins at conception. And I speak of the conception of the soul in the heart of the Great Central Sun, of you and your twin flame in the beginning. Life on earth likewise begins at conception, and even at that moment does the Spirit begin to weave itself as part of the fabric, even the warp and woof of that body. Therefore, beloved, woman has a right to bring forth that which is conceived by love and in love by God. May you know, beloved, that this issue that has become such a controversy in this nation may be dispensed with by the very simple teaching: abortion in the physical sense is also abortion in the spiritual sense. And to abort the divine plan of a life, whether physically or spiritually, is a sin against the Holy Ghost.

In conclusion, I would say that the contemporary view of the soul as not being formed at conception is put forward by those who are ignorant and who have not received the mysteries of God. Ignorance, therefore, in this dark age of the Kali Yuga is having its day. Thus we must bring enlightenment to fathers and mothers, and bring to all people the great joy of being co-creators with God.

On Reincarnation in the New Testament

Karma, Reincarnation and Christianity

The keystone of Jesus’ teaching on reincarnation in the New Testament is our Lord’s statement that John the Baptist was Elijah come again.

To set the stage:  It was a popular belief among the Jews of Jesus’ day that Elijah would come again as the forerunner of the Messiah, as the Lord had prophesied through the prophet Malachi:

Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me….

Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.
And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse. <*>

Mal. 3

Even Isaiah had foreseen his day:

The voice of him that crieth in the wilderness, “Prepare ye the way of the Lord, make straight in the desert a highway for our God.

“Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain.

“And the glory of the Lord shall be revealed, and all flesh shall see it together. For the mouth of the Lord hath spoken it.”

– Isaiah 40

Was John the Baptist the prophet Elijah come again?  That was a matter of great interest to the Jews, as the Gospel of John makes clear.

John the Beloved records the interchange that took place when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to investigate the baptizer at Bethabara. When they asked him “Who art thou?” he confessed that he was neither the Christ nor the prophet Elijah. When they pressed him to tell them something, anything about himself, that they might give answer to their superiors, John said:  “I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way of the Lord,’ as said the prophet Isaiah.” <1>

Despite his denial that he was Elijah, I believe that John was giving them and us a clue. He didn’t say, “I am one crying in the wilderness.”  He said, “I am the voice of one crying in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way of the LORD,’” <2> quoting Isaiah.

Truly, Isaiah had prophesied the coming of John the Baptist and identified him as “the voice of him that crieth in the wilderness.”  But it was left to Malachi to name “the voice”  as Elijah the prophet. So if John wasn’t the voice of Elijah, whose voice was he?

My hypothesis is that by innuendo–by saying that his voice was the voice of another–John was letting them know that his voice was indeed the voice of Elijah “come again” and that he and Elijah were one and the same soul and one and the same prophet. What was new was that Elijah had a new coat of skins <3> (i.e., a new body) and a new name.

There is another angle to this that is worth mentioning. People who believe in reincarnation and know who they were in a past life do not identify themselves today as who they were yesterday. For instance, if you were to ask me, “Are you Martha, the sister of Mary of Bethany?”  I would say, “No, I’m Elizabeth Clare Prophet but I was Martha in a past life.”  Even so, John the Baptist was John the Baptist. He had been Elijah in a past life and in this life he was “the voice” of Elijah. But he could accurately say that he was not Elijah in the flesh–his was the spirit of Elijah who had re-incarnated, <**> that is to say, who had come again in the flesh. This time around he was John the Baptist.

The Pharisees saw through John’s denial and his veiled confirmation that he was the voice of Elijah. “If you are not that Christ nor Elijah,” they insisted, “then why are you baptizing?”  John sidestepped the inquiry by pointing to the greatness of Jesus Christ, who would baptize them with the Holy Ghost and with fire, whereas he himself was baptizing them with water only. <4>

Had John professed himself to be either “that Christ” or the prophet Elijah, they might have stoned, imprisoned or killed him as they had done to the prophets before him and as they eventually did do to him. He did not answer them directly but indirectly. The truth is that it was not lawful for him, an initiate of the Great White Brotherhood, a so-called “Son of the Solitude,” <5> to reveal who he had been in a past life or what was his attainment today.

Furthermore, it was not lawful for his identity to be made known by anyone until he had “first come,” before Jesus, to prepare the way of the Lord and to “restore all things,” namely the law and the prophets. Once that assignment had been accomplished, Elijah’s coming in the person of John the Baptist could be revealed.

Not once, but twice, did Jesus reveal that John was indeed Elijah come again. The more important of the two revelations came after John’s death, on the occasion of Jesus’ transfiguration. The other took place while John was yet in prison (after he had fulfilled his mission) when Jesus actually delivered a public tribute to John before the multitudes.

I will take up the more important first. The scene is our Lord’s transfiguration on a high mountain, where he had taken Peter, James and John to witness his initiation. This is the heart of the passage as recorded by Mark:

Jesus taketh with him Peter and James and John and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves. And he was transfigured before them.

And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow, so as no fuller on earth can white them.

And there appeared unto them Elijah with Moses and they were talking with Jesus….

And there was a cloud that overshadowed them and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is my beloved Son:  hear him.”

And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man anymore, save Jesus only with themselves….

And they asked him, saying, “Why say the scribes that Elijah must first come?”
In other words, “If Elijah is appearing to you out of heaven in his celestial body, then why didn’t he first go before you on earth as the prophet who should prepare the way for your coming?  What’s he doing in heaven when we haven’t yet seen him on earth?”

And he answered and told them, “Elijah verily cometh first and restoreth all things; and…it is written of the Son of man that he must suffer many things and be set at nought.

“But I say unto you that Elijah is indeed come and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.”

Mark 9

Matthew records:

Then the disciples understood that he spake unto them of John the Baptist.

Matthew 17

So when Jesus said, “Elijah is indeed come,” he was saying that Elijah had already reincarnated in the mantle and the calling of the messenger of the LORD who should go before the face of the Son of God to prepare the way before him. <6>  And Herod had done with him what he would. Tragically, he had imprisoned and beheaded John the Baptist for his outspokenness against Herod’s unlawful marriage to his brother’s wife. <7>

Thus we see that there are practical and spiritual imperatives against an initiate of the Great White Brotherhood revealing his true identity until the appointed time. Even Jesus, when he came down the Mount of Transfiguration, charged Peter, James and John that they should tell no man what things they had seen until the Son of man should be risen from the dead. <8>  This was because it was not lawful for the initiation his disciples had just witnessed to be made known to anyone save those whom he had chosen to see it. <9>

The transfiguration served to ratify Jesus’ ministry in the tradition of Moses and the prophets. Were it to have been noised abroad, the timetable of his crucifixion might have been advanced by his enemies; but his time, as in the case of John the Baptist, had not yet come.

All avatars, prophets, Christed ones and messengers of God choose the hour when they shall reveal who they are and what their mission is. They never allow that hour to be dictated by their interrogators or their accusers, even to the point of incurring public humiliation and disgrace. And until that hour they are obliged to fend such questions as they can, remain silent or even deny their true identity when directly confronted.

This is not a prevarication; it is the postponement of the telling of the truth to those who must be told, for they have neither eyes to see nor ears to hear <10> who stands before them speaking to them out of the mouth of God. The truth written in the aura of the avatars, which cannot be denied, goes before them heralding their true identity for all who have developed their inner sight and soul faculties to “see.”  Nevertheless, their verbal silence concerning who they are, where they have come from, and what their mission is, is their keeping of the sacred trust of their sponsorship under the hierarchy of Sanat Kumara.

It is perfectly clear what the powers-that-be did to John the Baptist when their moment came (see Matt. 14:1-12; Mark 6:14-29; Luke 3:19, 20) and it is perfectly clear what they did to Jesus when they finally caught up with him and one of his disciples could be bribed to identify him in the garden. <11>

The reason I digress on this point is that some have argued that because John denied he was Elijah at the beginning of his mission, Jesus would not have affirmed that John was Elijah at the end of his mission. They are mistaken only because they are mistaught. The time had come for the truth to be proclaimed far and wide that Elijah had come again in the person of John the Baptist. And no less than Jesus himself did the honors.

I have reviewed the revelation Jesus gave to the disciples as they came down the Mount of Transfiguration. Now I will take up Jesus’ speech to the multitudes concerning John the Baptist that he delivered when John was yet in prison by order of Herod. We hear Jesus unveil the prophet as his promised messenger–and as the greatest of all on earth who had been born of woman. He also confirms the Old Testament prophecy concerning the coming of his messenger.

Jesus gives a stunning tribute to the prophet and messenger who had gone before him and who had once said of the Son of God, whom he baptized:  “He must increase but I must decrease.” <12>  It is touchingly clear that Jesus thought more of John the Baptist than of any other personage of his time. Their relationship was old, very old, and their love for one another was beyond this world. Matthew records Jesus’ words:

What went ye out into the wilderness to see?  A reed shaken with the wind?

But what went ye out for to see?  A man clothed in soft raiment?  Behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings’ houses.

But what went ye out for to see?  A prophet?  Yea,I say unto you, and more than a prophet.

For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before thy face, which shall prepare thy way before thee.

Verily I say unto you, among them that are born of women there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist:  notwithstanding he that is least in the kingdom of heaven is greater than he.

And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force. For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John. <***>

And if ye will receive it, this is Elijah, which was for to come.  He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.

Matthew 11

The fact that Jesus affirmed publicly to the multitudes and then privately to three of his disciples that the true identity of John the Baptist was Elijah the prophet–and the fact that Matthew and Mark both record Jesus as saying, “This is Elijah come again”–should put to shame those who profess to be Christians yet deny Christ’s own words concerning the reincarnation of Elijah as John the Baptist.

Note that when speaking to the multitudes Jesus qualified his announcement “This is Elijah, which was for to come,” with the words “if ye will receive it” and “He that hath ears to hear, let him hear.”  Jesus knew that some of the multitudes would believe that Elijah had indeed come again and some would not.

He also knew that some of the Jewish authorities would receive this truth and some would vehemently deny it–not because they did not believe that Elijah would reincarnate, but because they did believe it and they feared the Lord’s judgment which the greatest of all prophets would deliver upon them.

Witness Herod’s superstition, reported by Mark, that Jesus himself was “John whom I beheaded…risen from the dead”! <13>  Note that it was his father, Herod the Great, who had had all the male babies killed “in Bethlehem and in all the coasts thereof” when it was known that the Christ was about to be born. <14>  Truly, the fallen angels among us have feared the coming of the Christed ones since Archangel Michael and his legions cast them out of heaven into the earth <15> and into earthly bodies, which they wear to this day.

And their worst fears did come upon them when they heard the pungent pronouncements upon their heads such as the following from John and a relentless string of others from Jesus: <16>

O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come?

Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance.

And think not to say within yourselves, “We have Abraham to our father,” for I say unto you that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.

And now also the axe is laid unto the root of the trees:  therefore every tree which bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down and cast into the fire.

Matthew 3

The suggestion that the transfiguration accounts in Matthew and Mark may infer a belief in reincarnation is not something new to this century. The fourth-century Church Father Jerome, for example, specifically argues in his commentary on Matthew that the transfiguration passage should not be interpreted as supporting reincarnation. <17>  That Jerome makes such an argument tells us that some Christians of his day believed that Jesus and the disciples accepted, or were at least aware of, the concept of reincarnation.

Now I will give you the Christian refutation of “Elijah come again.”  In his book Reincarnation and Christianity, Dr. Robert Morey gives a standard orthodox Christian argument for denying that the “Elijah come again” passage speaks of reincarnation. He says, “Elijah, like Enoch, never died but was translated to heaven without ever tasting death.”  But then he says that “Elijah showed himself still alive and in his original body on the Mount of Transfiguration.” <18>  Apparently Morey and others do not understand the meaning of the word translation. <****>  Therefore they believe that Enoch, as well as Elijah, went into heaven in his physical body.

The actual translation of a soul to heaven in the ritual of the ascension involves the soul’s union with the white-fire body of the I AM Presence. In the process of a physical ascension, the physical body is transformed by and superseded by the Ascended-Master Light Body (also called the Deathless Solar Body), in which the soul is permanently clothed during the ascension ritual.

Genesis records, “And Enoch walked with God and he was not, for God took him.” <19>  In truth, Enoch was translated–and by this I mean he went through the process of the physical ascension, which I have just described.

According to the dictionary definition and the Teachings of the Ascended Masters, the term translation describes the transformation of the physical body and the soul that takes place during the physical ascension and during cremation when the soul ascends but there is not a physical ascension.

II Kings records that Elijah “went up by a whirlwind into heaven.”  This whirlwind was the vortex of the ascension flame. Elijah had told his disciple Elisha, “If you see me when I am taken from you, you will receive a double portion of my Spirit” <20>–that is, you will receive the mantle of my Mighty I AM Presence and the empowerment of my calling and my mission.

What Elisha saw was the translation of Elijah. Before his very eyes the physical body of Elijah was transformed and Elijah was swept up in his Ascended-Master Light Body. Elisha saw the whirlwind and the chariot of Israel and the horsemen thereof. And then the scriptures say, “He saw him no more.”

The ascension ritual was completed and Elijah was out of sight of mortal eyes. Nevertheless, his mantle and a double portion of his spirit fell upon Elisha. And Elisha rent his clothes, took up the mantle of his Guru and smote the waters of Jordan, saying:  “Where is the LORD God of Elijah?”  And the waters parted and Elisha went over. <21>

The reincarnation of Elijah as John the Baptist was the rare exception to the rule that Ascended Masters do not reincarnate. Today most people whose souls do qualify for the ritual of the ascension ascend from inner levels after the soul has departed the physical body. The soul attains union with the Mighty I AM Presence to become a permanent atom in the Body of God just as she does in a physical ascension.

When there is not a physical ascension, it is customary for the disciples of an initiate or the family and friends of a Keeper of the Flame <#> to consecrate and cremate the remains. Their motto is not “For dust thou art, and unto dust thou shalt return” <22> but “Out of the sacred fire thou hast descended and into the sacred fire thou shalt ascend.”  As Paul makes clear, earthly bodies are not suitable for the heaven-world. The soul does not retain a physical earth body once she has ascended to heaven.

Although the synoptic Gospels <23> only say that Moses and Elijah “appeared” to the disciples, Morey claims that “Elijah showed himself still alive and in his original body on the Mount of Transfiguration.”  (He doesn’t mention what body Moses came in.)  Has he overlooked Paul’s chastisement to those who say:  “How are the dead raised up?  And with what body do they come?”  Paul’s answer to them is compelling. It is a lesson for us all:

Thou fool, that which thou sowest is not quickened, except it die!…

There are…celestial bodies and bodies terrestrial. But the glory of the celestial is one, and the glory of the terrestrial is another.

There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differeth from another star in glory.

So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption.

It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power.

It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

The first man is of the earth, earthy:  the second man is the Lord from heaven.

As is the earthy, such are they also that are earthy. And as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

And as we have borne the image of the earthy, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly.

Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.

Behold, I show you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump. For the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.

So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

O death, where is thy sting?  O grave, where is thy victory?

I Corinthians 15

The akashic records <24> verify that Elijah was not in a corruptible, mortal body when he appeared to Jesus and the disciples on the Mount of Transfiguration some nine hundred years after he had challenged the 450 prophets of Baal at Mount Carmel. <25>  They also verify that Moses did not present himself in a corruptible, mortal body for the occasion. There was no necessity for Elijah or Moses to appear to Jesus in a physical body because they could talk to Jesus perfectly well in their celestial bodies.

In addition to Paul’s teaching on mutable and immutable bodies, another text that refutes Morey is Mark 9 (already quoted). Mark says that Peter, James and John all saw Elijah with Moses talking with Jesus. But “suddenly”–after the voice of God out of the cloud announced, “This is my beloved Son:  hear ye him”–the three “looked round about” and “saw no man anymore, save Jesus only.”  Had Elijah (or Moses) been in his corruptible body, he would not have suddenly disappeared. Have any of you here tonight ever seen a physical person “suddenly” disappear?

The conclusion of the matter is that the Ascended Master John the Baptist appeared to Jesus as Elijah the prophet in his Ascended-Master Light Body, <##> and the Ascended Master Moses also appeared to Jesus in his Ascended-Master Light Body.

Jesus was transfigured, his raiment was shining with a heavenly light, “exceeding white as snow, so as no fuller’s earth can white them.”  Having been accelerated to that level of the white light (the definition of the transfiguration), he could talk to Moses and Elijah face-to-face and they could talk with him.

Jesus temporarily raised his three closest disciples to that exalted height so that they might bear witness of his transfiguration after his resurrection. He made certain that they saw not only his transfiguration but also the figures of Elijah and Moses “in glory,” as Luke has it. <26>  Matthew, Mark and Luke concur that neither of these two prophets were in the vibration or the plane of the earthly body.

According to Morey, when Jesus said that Elijah had “come already” as John the Baptist, “Jesus was simply saying that the ministry of John the Baptist was ‘in the spirit and power’ of Elijah’s ministry.” <27>  (“In the spirit and power” of Elijah comes from Luke’s account of the Archangel Gabriel appearing to Zacharias and prophesying that his son, John, would go before the Messiah “in the spirit and power” of Elijah. <28>)

Some Christians say that Jesus was speaking figuratively and did not literally mean that Elijah was reincarnated as John the Baptist. Professor George Buttrick interprets Jesus’ words as meaning that John had come “in striking likeness of the flesh and in [the] verity of the spirit [of Elijah].”  He writes:  “John, dressed like Elijah, lived in the desert as Elijah had lived, and defied Herod and Herodias as Elijah had defied Ahab and Jezebel.” <29>

So, as far as Buttrick is concerned, what looks like a duck, waddles like a duck and quacks like a duck is still not a duck!

For me Buttrick’s argument, based on the parallels of John and Elijah, only buttresses the fact that not only the spirit and power of Elijah but also his very soul was fully embodied in John the Baptist. Yes, indeed, Elijah had already come; but the carnally minded were either too dense to recognize him or too superstitious to allow themselves to believe it was he.

It is as though they were convinced in their narrow mindedness that even if he wanted to, God couldn’t put Elijah’s soul or your soul or my soul in a new body for a new mission. And because they were so convinced in their own conceit, they set up rules defining what God is allowed to do and what he isn’t allowed to do.

Well, you know what?  God can do anything he wants to anytime he wants to. He can put our souls in new bodies and he already has. He can create a meeting ground between Ascended Masters and unascended masters with their disciples, just as he did on the Mount of Transfiguration. And he can bring that mountain to us, just as he does every time we receive a dictation from one of the Ascended Masters at the altar of the Holy Grail!

God is practical. He’s not a stuntman or a magician. What he does, he does within the framework of the expediency and the practicality of his law. And it was neither expedient nor practical to have Elijah in heaven in his physical body, nor was it expedient or practical for God to create a new soul to fulfill the mission of John the Baptist when the soul of Elijah was already fully trained and empowered for the mission.

First of all, it is much easier to create a new body than a new soul!  Secondly, the soul increases in wisdom and love and adeptship with the cumulative experience of many soul journeys through many lifetimes. And the absolute necessity for that cumulative experience is the reason why God set up the system of reincarnation in the first place!  It was ingenious, expedient and powerfully practical. A single lifetime, whether lived to age 9 or 90 or 900, is just not enough time for the soul to mature to the levels required for her to achieve the crowning victory of individual Christhood.

What was true for the soul of Elijah is true for you and me. We have “come again” to “restore all things”–that is, to make peace with every part of life, to embody God’s law and the teachings of his ageless prophets, to balance our karma, fulfill our mission and ascend.

Such a God who loves us so much as to give us opportunity after opportunity to come to his knowledge and his glory is my kind of God. I can identify with a Father-Mother God who is infinitely merciful. I cannot identify with a one-chance God who would throw us into the fires of eternal damnation if we fail to make it in one lifetime.

My kind of God is smarter than that. And he is scientific. He has put the essence of himself in our hearts, his own divine spark (the threefold flame). It is the seed of a Christ or a Buddha to be. And he knows that this seed is the lodestone of himself that will ultimately woo the soul back to him.

Our Father-Mother God is confident that sooner or later we little lambs who have lost our way will come Home wagging our tails behind us. So there is no need for God to cast us into hell, because he is inside of us and he fully intends to pilot us Home–when we are ready.

Hell is a place reserved for the devil and his angels, who continue to make war against the Woman and her Manchild and the seed of Christ in the earth. <30>  These self-styled gods who mock God while they mimic him have no eternal life because they deny that life, who is God, in their minds and in their bodies. By willfully extinguishing his flame in their hearts, they have chosen to commit spiritual suicide.

Rest assured that our Father-Mother have given to us who have chosen to magnify the Lord in all our members the gift of the abundant life, lifetime after lifetime, that we might return in mercy and in grace to our point of origin in God.

It was evident two thousand years ago and it is evident today that some theologians go to great lengths to deny the doctrine of reincarnation that is plainly written in scripture:

Elijah verily cometh first and restoreth all things; and…it is written of the Son of man that he must suffer many things and be set at nought.
But I say unto you that Elijah is indeed come and they have done unto him whatsoever they listed, as it is written of him.

– Mark 9

These are Jesus’ own words, yet some among the clergy will not receive them. In denying Jesus’ words, they deny the Lord himself, who is the ultimate Word incarnate. Peter spoke of this when he referred to Paul’s epistles, saying:

Some things [are] hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, <###> as they do also the other scriptures, unto their own destruction.

Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own steadfastness.

But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever. Amen.

II Peter 3

The unfortunate fact is that some theologians are simply not willing to come to grips with the doctrines of karma and reincarnation. Why do you think this is so?  Are they fleeing from the wrath of their own karma that is not yet come?  And is it not yet come because, as Jesus said, “If ye were [physically] blind, ye should have no sin [i.e., karma, because your blindness would be the means provided by the Great Law for the expiation of your karma], but now ye say, ‘We see’; therefore your sin remaineth [i.e., your karma has not yet descended]”? <31>

The Pharisees then and now have physical sight but no spiritual understanding, and their unredeemed karma is the cause of their spiritual blindness.

I believe that today’s Pharisees do not accept the twin doctrines of karma and reincarnation because if they did they would have to accept accountability for their own actions in this life and all past lives. A large percentage of the people on earth today do not want to take responsibility for their karma. They’ve lived by the doctrine that says Jesus carries it all:  “Jesus died for my sins. He is going to bear my sins and give me absolution and all I have to do is accept him as my Lord and Saviour and he will do the rest. And I am guaranteed entrée into the kingdom by my profession of faith.”

This is a simplistic notion. Yet it’s what the doctrine of the vicarious atonement, accepted by clergymen and churchgoers alike, is all about. And I tell you from my heart and from the Sacred Heart of Jesus, who has given to me this teaching by the Holy Spirit, that the doctrine that Jesus pays the whole price for our karma and we pay nothing is not the true doctrine of Jesus Christ. It is false doctrine and it is in violation of the laws of God set forth in the Bible from Genesis to Revelation.

Now, if it is not the doctrine of Jesus Christ, then, pray tell me, whose doctrine is it?  Well, if you don’t know, I’ll tell you. It is the doctrine of the Adversary–Jesus’ Adversary and yours and mine. And this doctrine that Jesus paid it all will deny you your own victory over death and hell if you continue to believe it.

Believing that you can commit any crime, break the laws of God and man, and not pay the price because Jesus already paid it for you is simply not what Jesus taught. Moreover, it is absolutely inconsistent with the law of karma set forth in the Old and New Testaments. And I will leave you to ponder why in the final analysis the doctrine of the vicarious atonement is neither expedient nor practical.

Think about that. And ask yourself:

Who is responsible for my soul?  Is it the false pastors and false teachers who tell me I am saved because I respond to the altar call and confess that Jesus is my Lord?  Or is it I?

Who will give accounting for my soul when I stand before my Lord at the end of this life?  I myself, who with God am the sole proprietor of my soul, or those pastors and teachers who will be long gone when I stand before the judgment seat?

Jesus is doing everything he can to help you. He will even help you carry your karma until you can not only carry it yourself but also transmute it by service to life and your daily decrees to the violet flame. (Just fifteen minutes a day with my tapes will bring you closer to God than you’ve ever been before.)  But he sent his apostle Paul to tell you that it is your responsibility to “work out your own salvation with fear and trembling,” <32> for in the end “every man shall bear his own [karmic] burden.” <33>

Now, if you will, ask yourself this question before you put down this Pearl of Wisdom: “Who will give accounting for my soul when I stand before my Lord?”  And when you answer it, act on it.

The Keepers of the Flame Fraternity is an organization of Ascended Masters and their chelas, dedicated to keeping the flame of Life on earth and to the freedom and enlightenment of her people.

##. The student of the Ascended Masters should know, however, that an Ascended Master may appear to unascended disciples in the guise of any of his past incarnations, just as Saint Germain appears to Catholics as Saint Joseph.

5. The Sons of the Solitude are an ancient Brotherhood of advanced adepts. In the book A Dweller on Two Planets by Phylos the Tibetan, we learn that they were the highest initiates on Atlantis. They were celibate, lived without families and often apart from civilization. The Sons of the Solitude attained their mastery through years of training in many lifetimes. Examples in scripture of the Sons of the Solitude include Abraham, Melchizedek, Jesus Christ and John the Baptist.

8. Matt. 17:9; Mark 9:9.

9. Jesus protects his identity. There are also scenes in the New Testament where Jesus either refuses to say who he is or tells others not to reveal who he is.  Jesus to his disciples: Once Jesus asked his disciples “Whom say the people that I am?” and they answered:  “John the Baptist; but some say, Elijah; and others say that one of the old prophets is risen again.”  Then he asked them:  “But whom say ye that I am?”  and Peter answered, “The Christ of God.”  As Luke records, Jesus “straitly charged them and commanded them to tell no man that thing, saying, ‘The Son of man must suffer many things and be rejected of the elders and chief priests and scribes and be slain and be raised the third day’” (Luke 9:18-22; see also Matt. 16:13-16, 20; Mark 8:27-30). Jesus to the devils: On one occasion, Jesus even commanded the devils not to say who he was. We read in Luke 4:  “Now when the sun was setting, all they that had any sick with divers diseases brought them unto him; and he laid his hands on every one of them and healed them. And devils also came out of many, crying out and saying, ‘Thou art Christ the Son of God!’  And he rebuking them suffered them not to speak, for they knew that he was Christ” (Luke 4:40, 41). Jesus to the chief priests, scribes and elders: At another time, when Jesus was walking in the temple in Jerusalem, he refused to directly answer the chief priests, scribes and elders who asked him:  “By what authority doest thou these things?  And who gave thee this authority to do these things?”  Jesus said:  “I will also ask of you one question, and answer me, and I will tell you by what authority I do these things. The baptism of John, was it from heaven, or of men?  Answer me.”  Mark records:  “And they reasoned with themselves, saying, If we shall say, ‘From heaven,’ he will say, ‘Why then did ye not believe him?’ But if we shall say, ‘Of men,’ they feared the people. For all men counted John, that he was a prophet indeed. And they answered and said unto Jesus, ‘We cannot tell.’ And Jesus answering saith unto them, ‘Neither do I tell you by what authority I do these things’” (Mark 11:27-33; see also Matt. 21:23-27; Luke 20:1-8). Jesus before the Sanhedrin: When Jesus was arrested and taken before the Sanhedrin for questioning, he would not directly affirm that he was the Christ. Luke gives the following account:  “And as soon as it was day, the elders of the people and the chief priests and the scribes came together and led him into their council, saying, ‘Art thou the Christ?  Tell us.’ And he said unto them, ‘If I tell you, ye will not believe. And if I also ask you, ye will not answer me, nor let me go. Hereafter shall the Son of man sit on the right hand of the power of God.’ Then said they all, ‘Art thou then the Son of God?’ And he said unto them, ‘Ye say that I am.’ And they said, ‘What need we any further witness?  For we ourselves have heard of his own mouth’” (Luke 22:66-71; see also Matt. 26:62-68).

Akasha is defined as primary substance, the subtlest, ethereal essence, which fills the whole of space; etheric energy vibrating at a certain frequency so as to absorb, or record, all of the impressions of life. The akashic records can be read by adepts or those whose soul (psychic) faculties are developed. The Messenger has explained that an Ascended Master or an unascended adept can look at a record just the way an archaeologist would look through layers of the earth. He can look through layers of records and pinpoint any age or time since the earth was created and read the record of what happened at that particular point in time and space. The Messenger Mark L. Prophet said:  “Man makes a record every time he thinks or speaks or feels. Just like a clock ticking twenty-four hours a day, the computers of heaven are ticking off and recording the events of our lives and bringing back to our own personal doorstep exactly what we send out.”

On Terrorism

The War of Absolute Good and Absolute Evil

We welcome into our midst beloved Archangel Gabriel and enlist his support on a very important subject, one on which he himself has spoken numerous times through dictations and very often to me personally, and that is the subject of terrorism.

Archangel Gabriel’s message is that terrorism is the rent in the garment of God-government, society and institutions, and it is the beginning of anarchy. Terrorists declare that they want a better life for the people and that they are working for the good. But in fact they desire anarchy—the breaking down of society, the destruction of the lawful means of evolution upon the planet and the destruction of the democratic process for bringing individuals to office.

The terrorists of this planet are the worst gang of hellions walking the earth. We realize that were they to gain momentum, the life of every man, woman and child, every citizen, could be in jeopardy twenty-four hours a day. It is worse than murder and the murderous intent. It is worse than assassination. For the goal is the destruction of the very foundation of life, which is the foundation of the Mother, the culture of the Mother, the ancient cultures of the golden ages of Lemuria and early Atlantis.

We understand, therefore, that the crack in the door of America is upon us. And we must push back, as it were, the nose of the camel before he is completely inside the tent.

Inflicting Terror to Extract Light from the People

Terrorism, of course, comes from the word terror. And the purpose of terrorism is the inflicting of terror upon the people, and this terror in itself is the ultimate fear. There is no greater word for fear that you can use. In gradations of fear, you can talk about anxiety, nervousness, tension, fear, doubt, and then you come to the word terror. When something strikes terror in your heart, it’s like facing the living death or the living hell. It’s the ultimate fear, and that is the point.

There is a great deal of satisfaction on the part of the devils and fallen angels to be able to extract this reaction from the children of the light, because when there is terror in an individual, as you can imagine an individual being wide-eyed with fright, there is a wide opening of the chakras. It’s like the spilling of blood and it is the spilling of light. If you are in a state of terror, you are not in God-control to retain and control the light.

So, you see, the ultimate purpose of terrorists is to extract light from the people in large quantities, to store it in reservoirs, and to have it to use when they themselves no longer have the tie to the God Source. So its purpose is not only the destruction of democratic institutions but also the milking of the people.

Mass terror and fear on the part of a population is part of the game of murder. Terrorists never murder without first inciting extreme fear. And therefore to incite mass terror and fear in a population before they are killed is to extract the greatest amount of light from them.

The Archetype of Absolute Evil

The presence of terrorism can be calculated best by the type of evolution involved, where their hatred comes from, whether it is an absolute hatred or a relative hatred, which is terminology that Archangel Gabriel taught me. He has explained that Absolute Evil started with a force of rebels and a galactic rebellion, beginning with an archangel and many angels who fell. And in their rebellion they swore an eternal vow against the living Christ, and they determined to destroy absolutely the living Christ and the organization of that Christ. These archetypes, as we know, figure in the Book of Revelation.

We understand that relative evil is demonstrated in those acts, which may be called sins, that are committed by children of God and can be rectified and forgiven because they are performed by individuals who if they knew better would do better. But there is a group of individuals running around the Matter universe who have sworn eternal hostility, not the hostility of the ones who have declared the counterrevolution against the forces of evil, but in fact the ones, the very fallen angels, who have sworn eternal hostility against the living Christ. You have forces in embodiment representing Absolute Evil who have an absolute determination to the death to destroy that which represents the light and freedom of the planet, which comes down to the United States of America and her allies, to the I AM Race.

When you consider the stakes and the Final Judgment and their enmity with Christ, you understand the suicide mission. You understand that they have nothing to lose because these are devils in embodiment who have already been judged for the Final Judgment, whose names are not written in the Book of Life, who therefore are like an ever-present firecracker ready to go off in one last hurrah and very capable of being the tools of a suicide mission for larger minds who plot the destruction of the planet itself.

My assessment of the Iranians who have called America “the Great Satan” is that they have the absolute hatred of the living Christ. They have suffered a role reversal, such as the individual who totally identifies himself, his cause, and Iran and the Khomeini as the force of Absolute God-Good. And he sees America and everything that it represents as the reverse, and therefore he is threatened by what he perceives as evil and he considers his cause righteous.

Now, though such an individual may not admit it, we have known for centuries that those who kill in the name of Allah, those who kill for the destruction of the enemies of Allah or the enemies of the Muslims, or if they kill in the process of converting infidels, they believe that they will go straight to heaven and see Allah and have an eternal reward.

We must realize that it has always been true that at inner levels the false hierarchy of fallen angels enlists, in their support, their tools, their mechanization man and their underlings, who are ill-informed and who become convinced that they are serving the cause of truth worldwide and the cause of freedom. They become convinced that they are serving the real hierarchy of light. In that belief, they can carry out their actions as instruments of Absolute Evil against that very light, and when they do cross to the other side, they do meet their god. They meet the highest ranking fallen angel, who to them is the image of God, and they believe that they have arrived at the very place where they knew all along, so to speak, they were going.

So there is an entire false hierarchy all the way from the gutter activities of the ones who are involved with the suicide missions to those who plot them, to those at inner levels, to the highest ranking of that inner-level, astral false hierarchy. It is the counterfeit of the Great White Brotherhood.

The Consciousness of Relative Good and Evil

However, many of the people of this country cannot live with the fact that we are facing Absolute Evil and that Absolute Evil has to be challenged where it is. It cannot be ignored. When it is ignored, it only grows. I have never seen anyone whose consciousness was tied to Absolute Evil whose consciousness of evil could ever be reduced except by challenge and the judgment. There is no will within these individuals to change. There is no desire for Christhood. There is no desire even for eternal life.

And so when you understand the psychology, you realize that our entire diplomatic base—the base of international relations, the base of our politics—is not grounded in reality. It’s not grounded in real politics. It’s not a real understanding of power on this planet. All politics is power politics. But it is not understood in terms of the fallen angels. And when you have the theologians of the West denying the very existence of embodied angels, of the very possibility that angels could embody or fallen ones could be in our midst, then you have the wiping away of the necessity for the encounter with darkness.

Then they try to make Absolute Evil relative. If all things are relative, there is no need to get excited about anything because in the end everybody is going to be good. When we finally get there, everybody is going to be good. So you can live with relative evil. But unless you are willing to take a stand for Absolute Good, you cannot live with Absolute Evil. And the only way to get rid of Absolute Evil if you don’t want to take that stand is to deny it or ignore it—ignore it until it swallows you up and you are no more. There are some people who would rather die in a state of sleep and unknowing than to ever have to awaken and really believe that we have a threat of Absolute Evil in this universe.

So, as you know, it gets introduced in science fiction, in movies, in every way but the real way. And in fact, if you try to bring it up as being real, you’re laughed at as having a Star Wars consciousness.

Intellectualizing the Issue

Therefore I am not enormously comforted by the consciousness and the awareness of the representatives of the United States government and the absence of their perception of the real facts of the geopolitical configuration of the planet. There is a sleepiness, a density, an animal magnetism, if you will, a collective unconscious. I do not believe that they are properly conscious or centered in the God-source of consciousness to effectively protect me, this nation, my family, my community and the fifty states. We have seen examples of this. Who will trust them? How can we trust them? How can our allies trust them?

Some of these representatives and various individuals talk about so-called overreactions and reasonable approaches. And they like to intellectually discuss, round and round, the issues, for instance, that there are so many hundreds of posts and embassies and all of them are different. What difference does it make? What is different about murder? What is the difference between one murder and another? If your son is dead, your son is dead. What is different about all of these situations when what we have precisely is a truck with explosives driven by a terrorist or bombs planted? How many different types of terrorismdo you have to sit and intellectualize about?

So that particular approach to the subject sometimes seems to be the only one they have, and it seems to allay their own anxieties about the subject. But it doesn’t face the reality that we are seeing the forces of Antichrist moving against the light and that whoever the lifestreams are, all representatives of the United States on this planet are representatives of Saint Germain because he has made them so.

Call for the All-Seeing Eye of God

It’s time to draw back the curtain so that our representatives and our people know what is happening. For there is a great andmajor crisis in America today—the unwillingness to see what is and to take action on what is seen. I trust that our prayers and our decrees may lessen the gap between what is fact and what our representatives are willing to see as reality and unreality.

One cannot look away from this hatred once one has seen it personally and directly. I have seen it personally and directly. I know what it is. And I know that this hatred will not die until it is no more. The individuals who contain it will not change their course.

The Transmutation of Fear

In dealing with this issue, each individual’s approach and opinions are not always based on the facts that he says they are based on or what he knows or what he doesn’t know. They are often based on his psychology and his ability to deal with terror as a force and a tool of Absolute Evil. And the more he approaches the ability to face that fact, the more he is awake, the more he will know, the more he will expose, and yet he will not fear.

Fear is a major controlling factor in the representatives of the people today. And it does cloud the mind. It does make people bigoted. It does make them stubborn. Fear is a root cause of the way people approach life and reality and threats of danger. The way people deal with danger has to do with the psychology of fear.

So not only do we need Cyclopea, but we also need “Strip Us of All Doubt and Fear,” the Ray-O-Light decree. We need a mighty action of transmutation, because unless fear can be transmuted, the exposure of the truth is only going to increase fear. If people know more, they’re going to get more frightened.

So the transmutation of fear is your assignment. And we know, through the teaching of our beloved Jesus, that what is coming upon us in the next Dark Cycle2 is the judgment of the fallen angels. Now how, pray tell, will the people deal with that very fact of life when the mighty are put down from their seats3 and all of this comes to pass? How will they deal with the reality of that very occurrence if they have not first conquered fear?

And therefore, I believe that besides the judgment calls and the dweller calls that need to be made on the origins of terrorismon this planet and beyond it, the greatest need is for the call to the Elohim Cyclopea for the All-Seeing Eye of God1 over our federal buildings and all who serve there so that there might be a pushing back of the threshold of awareness. The All-Seeing Eye of God is the answer to moving back the barriers in the consciousness of individuals, moving the barriers to their ability to face what is Absolute Evil, what is the impassioned hatred of the Iranians and the Syrians.

So it’s necessary that we have a great victory over fear itself, over death itself, over doubt itself—all of which we know are illusions. Fear is not real. Doubt is not real. Death is not real. And ultimately it will be seen that hell is not real. It’s making a pretty loud noise right now, but it will be bound. It will be overcome, and it can be done daily.

There Is Much We Can Do

So therefore, the situation of terrorism is not something we panic about, not something we overreact to, because our foundation and our inner strength is based on the knowledge of God, his science of the Word, his archangels, and the certainty that there is much we can do about it. There is much we can do to keep the flame and the vigil.

I trust you will enter into a great communion with Archangel Gabriel, because I know that he is determined to protect America. We must give our calls to Hercules, to Surya, to legions of light. We need sons of God in positions of power who can protect our representatives in the armed forces and in the diplomatic corps as well as the servants of God on our own soil. We must visualize every square inch of ground of United States soil or United States territory abroad, such as our embassies, covered by angels—every square foot of ground occupied by angels of light who move into action for the protection of the lightbearers, our institutions, our representatives.

Our national shrines are vulnerable. Each one contains a flame and ought to be protected. The key flame, as you know, is in the Washington Monument. It’s time that we protect all of our embassies and that we understand we are in a state of war and this war is the war of absolutes—Absolute Good and Absolute Evil. It is Armageddon, and Armageddon is defined by the motives and the intents of the participants. This is not merely fighting to see who is stronger for a parcel of land. This is fighting to the death of the Christ consciousness of the planet.

We give a marathon to Cyclopea so that more people will be able to see what is real without fainting of fright in the process. And this is why we bring to people first the Coming Revolution in Higher Consciousness regarding the wonderful mighty I AM Presence, the violet flame, the teachings of the science of the spoken Word. When you are secure in God, when God is really inside of you, you can face Absolute Evil.

We can get rid of terrorists today because of our intercession with the hosts of the LORD, because we know that the mighty archangels take care of fallen angels. They strip them of their power. And we have no death wish regarding these individuals. We only know that they must be bound and judged by those for whom it is lawful to do that work, and that is the archangels.

So this is the mighty work of the ages. It always works. It never fails if you do your part. This is your assignment.

God bless you.

The Dark Cycle is a period when mankind’s misqualified energy (i.e., their returning negative karma), held in abeyance for centuries under the great mercy of the Law, is released according to the cycles of the initiations of the solar hierarchies for balance in the time of transition into the Aquarian age. April 23, 1984, started the sixteenth year of the Dark Cycle.

On Dealing with Death

Your Sorrow Shall Be Turned into Joy

Verily, verily, I say unto you, that ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
John 16:20

When the Guru is no longer in embodiment, the disciples have to deal with the physical absence of the Guru, the embodied Word, the I AM THAT I AM. This is the cross that the chela bears. And the soul will cry when the Christed One is no longer there.

Yet the world will rejoice. The dweller-on-the-threshold, personal and planetary, will rejoice when that which has threatened it most is taken. They live to see the day of the destruction of that One Sent.

But, as Jesus said, “Ye now therefore have sorrow.”1 This is your identity for the moment. At a certain point you can say, “I am sorrowful.”

At a certain point I was sorrowful and extremely pained and weeping and sobbing over the loss of Mark Prophet. I refer to Mark because there haven’t been too many people close to me in this lifetime who have passed on. And, also, his leaving is an example of the departure of the Guru as well as the departure of the twin flame and of not seeing him physically. There is no question that this was the most profound sorrow I have ever experienced, that I can ever remember, except perhaps for sorrow I may have experienced in a previous lifetime at having lost Mark in some other situation.

And so, I can understand that at a certain time Jesus wants us to be able to say, “My identity is sorrow. I know sorrow. I have drunk its dregs. I understand the meaning of loss. Therefore I understand the loss of everyone else upon the planet who has ever known and grieved over the loss of a loved one.” And this is extremely important in our identification with the world consciousness of people in need.

Pain Is the Other Side of Bliss

Because God wants so much for us to expand love in our hearts, he allows us to suffer, to know pain and to reap our karma. For most of us, one of the best ways we learn our lessons is through pain. We learn by experiencing pain and sorrow whereby we have grieved, we have suffered loss, we have suffered burden in our bodies. And suddenly we have a knowing of how everyone else in the world has suffered and what other people have gone through.

Pain is the other side of bliss. When you know intense pain, you come to the place of transcending that pain. If you have a right heart, then you have gratitude to God for the experience of suffering in pain, because through it you come to the point of exaltation of God in yourself and you know his bliss in you.2

A Process of Integration

So let us experience and live through these compartments of the human consciousness. Let us explore them, if we must, to the dregs. Let us allow our feelings to be touched. Let the cords of the subconscious come out. Let the ancient grief be known. And let us see it for what it is and pour the violet flame into it. By the wisdom and teaching of God, by the nearness of God, let us enter, then, into a higher dimension by choice rather than by being like a jack-in-the-box—suddenly we’re on cloud nine (even though we haven’t gone through the process).

It’s a process of integration with God, the process of becoming the Christ because one has experienced the sorrow, dealt with it, lived through it, worked through it. And the sorrow is turned to joy by an act of free will, not by suppressing the experience and walking away from it and saying, “There’s nothing to it.” There is something to it if we’re going to acknowledge that we have feelings, we have thoughts, that we are people, we are what we are and this is our condition. If you can understand this, you will not be trapped by metaphysics.

A Metaphysical Misunderstanding

Many people who get involved in metaphysics think that it’s wrong to cry, wrong to grieve, wrong to have any kind of human feeling. And they believe that if people are having these feelings, they must not have attainment. This is not so. It’s natural to cry at your mother’s funeral. It’s natural to be sorrowful when you lose a loved one. And if you don’t allow yourself to experience the loss and the sense of loss, you can’t transmute it into joy.

The result of practicing metaphysics can be a total loss of contact with one’s being in all of its depth. I’ve seen people who were in metaphysics lose a loved one, and the minute that person dies they say, “There’s no death; it’s not real. There’s no reason to cry, no reason to get upset.” And they walk on. This is a denial of such an emphatic action that is real in the moment that the only way people can do this is to cut off the subconscious. So there is no growth, there is no experience, there is no working through the pain of the loss.

These are the kind of people who reembody and lie on the psychiatrist’s couch half their lives in therapy because they can’t understand why they have all these problems—why they can’t sleep, they can’t function, they have this or that disorder. And it’s because they have not integrated with that subconscious. Now they’re in a new life and it’s coming up, and they have to deal with it. But they can’t remember what caused the problem six embodiments ago when they refused to come to grips with what was going on around them.

The Great Feelings of an Integrated God-Free Being

A fully integrated God-free being can experience great sorrow, great joy, great pain, great loss. The greatness of the feelings of Mark were like the feelings you would imagine an archangel would have on earth. You could picture Archangel Michael being hurt at being rejected if he were physically standing here in his full ascended-master consciousness, having given ten thousand-times-ten thousand years of sacrifice for the people, and they would stone him. I don’t think that Archangel Michael would be like a god against whom you could make no impression.

At the absolute opposite end of the spectrum psychologically are people who are without feeling. They don’t experience pain. They have no remorse if they inflict pain on others. Now, sometimes I work in a chelaship relationship with such people and I am striving for the binding of their unreality and their carnal mind. I will pour my heart into a chastening love that will do everything but lie down on the ground for them to walk on top of me. But I see that these people are nonresponsive. They have no depth of appreciation of the love of God or what one can put into loving someone. And when I am talking to them, nobody is really home. And they can’t be worked with.

Sometimes you meet people and you wish they would have a little heart, you wish they would appreciate what they’re doing to you when they’re so prejudiced and hateful, and you realize that they have no feeling. And not only is it a consternation but it’s a great pain. You realize that they are the antithesis of God, who feels so much for his people that he saves us and cares for us in the most minute ways. This is the tremendous Presence of God.3

Help Others to Go through the Process

So we ourselves need to sense and to feel. We need to feel for people who come to us for help. We need to understand the depths of their grief. We need to go to them and lift them up, teach them the steps, take them up the steps. But we don’t just pick them up and deposit them on a new plane.

Did you ever try to transplant somebody? Did you ever find people who wanted your help, and they complained all day and they couldn’t stand what was the matter with them? You thought you knew exactly what the answer was. Everything would be okay, you thought, if they would do specific things—move out of that terrible house, stop eating that diet, do this, do that. You would do as much as you could for them, and you would try to change them, only to find that they had not changed a bit. They were still unhappy, and they wanted to go back to the same old ways and everything they used to do. And it was because you didn’t allow them to go through the process, by free will, of acknowledging point by point the problem and exercising the will to overcome it.

So people come to that conclusion and find out that this is not the way to save somebody. You cannot do it for someone. You have to allow them to work through their difficulties and manifest their own Christhood.

Missing the Prize through a Sense of Injustice

Some people blame and accuse God for the injustice of the painful process of getting to the joy. And they’re so caught up in the agony of the climb or the agony of the trek that when they get to the end of it, they’re so disgruntled, so irritated and so critical of either the helpers on the way or fellow chelas or the organization or whatever seemed to make the whole event unpleasant that they miss the prize. They miss the prize of the birth of the Manchild in their hearts because they are so caught up in the sense of the inconvenience and the injustice that was part of the birth process.

So this is an important lesson on the two o’clock line of the Cosmic Clock, the line of God-mastery, and the lesson is that if we are going to overcome sin, disease and death and these records in Pisces, we are going to have to overcome the consciousness of death. And this refers to death not only as the body ceasing to pump and beat the heart, but death as it occurs in a day-to-day sense—sorrow, anguish and pain, the involvement with pain and the remembrance of pain, the sustainment of it, and the holding of the experience of pain against some other part of life whom you blame for inflicting it upon you.

This is the worst part of karma bearing, never getting out of the tangled web of the eight o’clock line of a sense of injustice. If people can’t get past their sense of injustice, they stop transmuting. Boom!—right there, no transmutation. And it’s related to nonforgiveness. Forgiveness and justice are like twin qualities of the violet flame. And if people cannot forgive God and everyone else, they will then retain a sense of injustice and they will sit there—and sit and sit and sit on that eight o’clock line, not moving forward.

Your Joy Is Your Attainment

Now, “your joy no man taketh from you” is a fiat of Jesus.4 This is a trust and confidence that if you have been willing to work through your grief and pain, your joy will be attainment. And what you have by attainment no one can take from you. But if you don’t have your joy by work and by inner attainment and you just somehow had it given to you, you may lose it. You may squander what you have been given before you realize its value, and then you will have to go out and earn it for yourself.

So you experience the pain, you acknowledge it, you know that you have passed through it, you labor with it, you learn to master it, and then you go beyond it. Just as you do not jump full blown into the mantle of Christ, you do not jump full blown into joy.

“Ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.” Turned into might as well be transmuted. This is simply the choice of words of the King James translators, who lived when transmutation was a word used far less, except by the alchemists. The sorrow, the lamentation, the mourning of the loss of the Guru is turned to joy because you have transmuted it and you are internalizing the Christ. When the Christ leaves, the Christ wants his disciples to have the ultimate joy, the most perfect union, the internalization of that Word.

So there is only one way for me to get over mourning the loss of the physical twin flame. I must become him, else I should be lost in anguish forever. What could be greater than having Lanello here with me physically? What could be greater is that I become Lanello and then I am much closer to him than merely in physical proximity.

Remember No More the Anguish

Dealing with death and the most fundamental of human emotions—mourning, separation, travail—relates to the burdens that came upon the human race in the pain of childbirth.

A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world. – John 16:21

Jesus is talking about an amazing experience and I remember once when Mark gave me a lesson on this. When I had my children, I went through the normal, and probably more than normal, share of pain in their delivery. With my first child I was astonished that there was so much pain and wondered why I should have to bear it, and Morya said, “So that you develop compassion for life in pain.” He said, “I will not stand between you and this experience, the full experience of childbirth.”

But in conversations with Mark over the years about having my children, even though each one was difficult I told him I would always be absolutely taken up in the joy of the Holy Spirit and the birth of the child. The moment the child was born, all of that travail was no more; it was as if it had never existed.

And Mark commented to me about his own mother, who never ceased all of his life to tell him what a hard delivery she had with him and how much pain she had in bringing him forth into the world. So he couldn’t believe that I could be so happy about the whole event, even in light of the fact that I had probably experienced pain that was equal to hers. This is the joy that Jesus is speaking about, Mark said, and it applies to those who go through the process of transmutation, who then rejoice. And that joy, then, is their attainment.

Every Man Is Scattered to His Own

Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own.
John 16:32

Every man is “scattered… to his own,” and that means to his own level of the internalization of the Word, the level of light in his heart and in his chakras. And no man can exceed his point of attainment. I will be going through my initiation; you will stand on your own level of attainment. What you do, you will do.

Every one of you is at a different level of attainment. You will scatter to that level and you will stand on the amount of light that you have internalized from this mission. Jesus already knew the level of the disciples’ attainment—that on their own, without his right hand holding Peter from sinking into the sea, without his support, they would not be able to stand with him in the hour of his judgment.5 They would not be able to stand against the world momentum of the Watchers, the fallen angels, the Nephilim, the entire planetary force of Antichrist.

So when the master is crucified, the disciple must prove at what level he can stand. And many disciples in the history of guru-chela relationships have not stood. And they have had immense remorse after the passing of the beloved teacher, because they feel that they could have done so much better in the hour of his greatest burden.

This is a natural way to feel. I felt this way in the passing of Mark. And I think it is known to psychologists that when people lose loved ones, they usually blame themselves and think about what they could have done to prevent that one’s passing—the sudden death, the accident, the disease. “What didn’t I do? What could I have done to help that person?”

It’s the sense that we should have done more or been more to prevent what actually was the handwriting on the wall of an individual’s lifestream.

“So ye shall be scattered, every man to his own.” Now, this is an initiation that doesn’t wait for the Guru to physically die. It happens periodically. It’s as if periodically the thresher comes through. Periodically people have to stand at their own level of attainment, so the light of support of the master or the Guru is withdrawn. And they will have to stand against world condemnation, gossip, calumny, hatred, whatever they may allow to come between themselves and their own I AM Presence, their own Christ Self, or the messenger. And they will have to grapple with it and stand or fall according to their decision. God wants us to live by free will and by our own decisions.

Today we are close together in this sanctuary in the great embrace of the Holy Ghost. But the day may come when you’re standing in China or Australia or the South Pole and you have to face some tremendous momentum. In physical distance you may be at a great distance from me and from this sanctuary. But, in truth, you are as close as the externalized attainment of your Christ consciousness in your own heart. And by that heart fire and heart flame you will cast out the dweller, you will bind the foe. By that heart flame, you will survive, you will move on, and you will be victorious.
